How we report.
People Who Matter is an independent editorial platform. These are the standards every story on this site is held to.
Editorial independence
People Who Matter decides what it covers and how it covers it. Featured people, companies, brands and initiatives do not approve, edit or pay for editorial coverage.
Commercial relationships, including advertising, event partnerships and sponsored features, never influence editorial judgement on unrelated stories.
Editorial consideration
Stories are selected on relevance, public interest and the strength of the story itself. Every pitch we receive is read by the editorial team, but submission never guarantees publication, timing or angle.
Fact checking
Facts, figures, quotes and claims are checked against primary sources or credible published material before a story goes live. Where a claim cannot be verified, it is attributed to its source or left out.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it. Material errors are corrected in the article and, where relevant, noted at the foot of the piece. Minor typographical fixes are made silently.
Spotted a factual error? Tell us what needs correcting and where.
hello@peoplewhomatter.inSource attribution
Quotes, data and reporting drawn from other publications are credited and linked to the original source. Headlines shown in PWM Pulse come from third party publishers, are clearly labelled as external, and link to the original story.
Sponsored and partner content
Paid or partner content is always labelled Sponsored on the story and wherever it is promoted on the site. It is produced to the same standards of accuracy and is kept visually and editorially distinct from independent coverage.
AI assisted editorial processes
Our editors may use AI tools for research support, transcription, drafting help and copy checks. Every published article is written, reviewed and approved by a human editor. We do not publish AI generated articles without human editorial review.
AI generated images
Where an illustration or visual on the site has been created with AI tools, it carries the label “AI generated visual”. Photographs of real people and events are never altered in a way that changes their meaning.
Submissions
Pitches submitted through Submit a Story are held privately for editorial review. Material shared with us is not published, sold or shared beyond the editorial team without permission.
Conflicts of interest
Editors and contributors declare any personal, financial or professional interest in a subject they cover. Where a conflict exists, the story is reassigned or the relationship is disclosed within the piece.
